Support Us

In the Beginning…

High Park was originally funded almost entirely from “ragging” – collecting of old unwanted clothing and textile items which were sold on to companies who specialised in recycling, or upcycling. Unfortunately the company who enabled us to get started has now gone out of business and the remaining ragging companies are much more picky about the items they will take and pay money for so we are no longer able to rely on ragging as a funding source.

We have been incredibly fortunate that a number of local groups have chosen to raise and donate funds for High Park which enables us to purchase instruments, music stands, and other equipment required for us to function, as well as going towards the cost of room hire each week.

You will see further down this page some of the groups who have supported us in recent years.

Current Fundraising Activities…

When we’re not working within the current Covid-safe regulations we often hold cake sales and busk in Wiveliscombe to help raise funds for High Park and are very grateful to the local people who are always very generous with their donations at such events.

High Park has an Easyfundraising account and is always very grateful to anyone who feels so inclined to sign up to this and choose to support our cause. It costs nothing and if you shop at online stores included on Easyfundraising each purchase will raise more funds for us.

We are always open to suggestions for other opportunities to help us raise the funds required to enable us to continue offering affordable music lessons and provide instruments to the children of the 10 Parishes.

Supporters

Everyone listed below has been incredibly supportive and generous to High Park Music Project and enabled the purchase of instruments, sound-proofing, music stands, cover repair and room hire costs.

It is also wonderful that people inspired by this initiative have donated pre-loved instruments so enabling the school to grow.

Instruments are maintained by instrument technician Gill Baker, whilst John Packer Woodwind has helped us with supplies of much needed reeds.

All this support is greatly appreciated, particularly by the children themselves, without which High Park would not be the success it is today.
